Chronological Listing of entries in World War II Daily.
This site is under construction and, to be truthful, probably will be throughout its existence. Even after I have all the dates covered that I consider important to the war, I will still be adding and subtracting and elaborating and in general tinkering with what is on certain pages. Since I am not always adding pages in chronological order, below is a handy chronological listing of all dates covered to date for convenience. Just click on the date to go there.
For technical reasons (size), the posts below are split between two sites, with the split occurring in late March 1942. So, most of the links below will take you to my other site. However, they are uniform and this site is in every respect just a continuation site.
Note that this is not a "complete" listing because I haven't completed all the dates yet. They will show up here when I've done them.
I realize that one can rightfully claim that World War II actually began in 1937, or even 1931, but it did not have the makings of a global conflict at those times. That began with the German invasion of Poland. Thus, we stick with the traditional 1 September 1939 - 2 September 1945 time frame, though with plenty of excursions outside it where appropriate.
